Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Armorer is a firearm maintenance tracking application developed and operated by USA Carry. Our contact email is support@armorer.app.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide the app's features:

• Account information: Your email address and encrypted password, used solely for authentication.
• Firearm records: Manufacturer, model, caliber, type, nickname, date acquired, and notes you choose to enter.
• Round logs: Quantity, date, ammo details, and malfunction information you log.
• Maintenance logs: Service type, date, and notes you enter.
• Ammo inventory: Brand, caliber, type, grain, and quantity you track.
• Accessories: Name, type, brand, model, and service intervals for gear you track.
• Service intervals: Round counts and dates used to calculate maintenance reminders.

We do not collect location data, contacts, camera images, or any data beyond what you explicitly enter into the app.

3. Zero-Knowledge Encryption for Serial Numbers

Serial numbers are encrypted using AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your password using PBKDF2. This key is never stored anywhere — it exists only in your device's memory during your session and is discarded when you log out.

This means we cannot read your serial numbers under any circumstances — not for support, not under legal compulsion, not in the event of a data breach. If you forget your password and reset it, your serial numbers cannot be recovered and will need to be re-entered.

All other data is encrypted at rest in our database using industry-standard encryption managed by our database provider, Supabase.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide the features of Armorer:

• Displaying your firearm profiles, round counts, and maintenance history
• Calculating service interval countdowns and sending maintenance reminders
• Generating data exports you request

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, with the following limited exceptions:

• Supabase: Our database and authentication provider stores your encrypted data on our behalf. Supabase is bound by their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.
• Apple: If you use Sign In with Apple, Apple processes your authentication in accordance with their privacy policy.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law. Note that serial numbers cannot be disclosed because we do not have access to them.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through the app, all of your data is permanently deleted from our database immediately. This deletion is irreversible.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Export all of your data at any time using the Export feature in the Profile tab
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time using the Delete Account feature in the Profile tab
• Contact us at support@armorer.app with any privacy questions or requests

8. Push Notifications

If you grant notification permissions, we use local push notifications to remind you of upcoming maintenance intervals. These notifications are scheduled on your device and do not involve transmitting your data to any server.

9. Children's Privacy

Armorer is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Your continued use of Armorer after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
